One thing I noticed about failure is that embedded in the statement of failure is a message of hope, a message of possibility and most often the solution which you must next pursue. And usually failure just like success is not a destination but a roadmap and a GPS telling you were you truly are on that map bitter as it may sound. Remember wherever you are, you are not alone. Then you must begin to define your status with respect to the relations that give you meaning and purpose. The real cause of failure is the attention you give to the outcome every other thing melts away as you focus on the all too important lofty goal/crushing defeat. And when its done come what may your attention is freed up to focus on other things.
The Approach to reach the goal is first of all to develop multiple goals and to mix and match goals with effort bouts and persistence targets.
You may start to develop a goal by picking a high and mighty goal that you know is achievable. Then aim for that goal and carry out the activities required to pursue that goal. In doing this keep your eyes open for what is physically possible and for another goal or milestone that you may have reached just at the point where it is not feasible to go any further. Let this be your realistic benchmark, you aimed for the stars and landed on the moon. But the moon in itself is an admirable stepping stone to the stars as well as a vast ocean of desirable value.
Practice, exercise, train yourself with the duty of reaching the moon comfortably within your ability and one day you will realize that both landing on the moon and reaching for the stars are precious realizations of the awesomeness of our ability, inherent in us to dream, plan, and execute, and also we realize that it is such a privilege to be put in a position where we can apprehend the majestic reality of there being a moon and stars to reach for in the first place.
Having understood the importance and grandiosity of our task we may proceed to undertake its fulfillment with trepidation and caution so as to pace ourselves for the long journey ahead for a long journey can only be completed with the conscientious endeavour of putting one little step in front of another little step and if we are running then we must be controlled in our periods of oscillating limbs. For it is not how fast but how far. There is a time for speed and there is a time for wisdom in allocation of inhalatory and exhalatory resources.
Having explored this approach with the right preparation, anticipation and rest, come the D-day we should be in the right mood to start, persist and finish well, hitting all the milestones (multiple goals), reaching the realistic goal, discovering more manifest expressions of universal significance while being a couple more steps closer to reaching the high and mighty goal.
Love has a collective quality; it is like a form of energy that flows through a channel, a conductor. It flows from one vessel to another, it is electrifying, it produces excitement, it manages to produce light in various bands of the colour spectrum. This gives it its quality. The quality that brings about warmth, that makes all people to feel at home, feel at ease and makes them wish to be in the company of one another. Sometimes it can and should be generated by effort but mostly it has an effortless quality, which is borne out of quietness of spirit, patience, resistivity, that creates the atmosphere for fireworks, a creative expression of inner joy.
Gareth McNamara who rode the highest wave ever, 27meters high, said “if you focus on the moment, not thinking of the past or the future, then you will be alright” In response to the question “what goes through your mind when you are riding such a big wave” by a CNN reporter.
It has been commented that surfers are the modern day examples of being balanced on the edge because they ride the waves of up and down.
Opportunity is a delicate flower that has gone through the transformation from a seed to meet you at the right time. It is an orchestration event. There is a tune which sounds expressing a theme with the occasional breaking forth of a new rhythm.
Then opportunity turns into a challenge. It becomes like a man who has left his home to embark on a journey. He knows not when he will lay his head in his new home but lay his head surely he must. When he turns the challenge back into an opportunity, back into a moment, riding the crest of the waves of the human song.
What is the human song?
The interplay of opportunity and challenge defined by processes and relationships. Highlights and dips. Living in the present moment guided by a conductor while remaining in harmony with the host of natural tones, and whatever else may be in the mix fleeting in and out of recorded history. Acknowledged only by the attention given it due to its unique expression or by recognition. Then this means the observer also becomes a part of the symphony for he has out of choice reinforced a pattern, by thinking about it’s form, he has giving it form. He has participated in the art of construction cum progress.

Title: Treasures in the Darkness
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places that you may know that I, the LORD who call you by your name am the God of Israel. – Isaiah 45:3 NKJV
When troubles come, you have a choice – to let troubles destroy you or transform you. A diamond is just a piece of coal that has undergone pressure. When you are handed a lump of coal in the form of trouble, it’s an opportunity to see how God can transform it into a spiritual treasure.
Ugly things can become jewels reflecting the light of God, if you are willing to go into the darkness with Him and find the treasure.
In the darkness, out of sight, God will use the pressures and problems to create the lovely jewel of a quiet spirit, a strengthened character, and a wiser heart. One day you will see – whether in this life or in the shining, glorious crown of glory you will behold in the next life. There are treasures to be discovered in the darkness, and troubles can be transformed into glorious victories, if you can walk through them trusting God.
Remember that troubles are temporary and that my true hope rests in eternal things. Yes
Be willing to take extra effort with my appearance when I’m feeling downhearted. Yes
Things to Do:
- Read Psalm 42
- Write in my journal about 3 things that trouble me and how I feel about them
- Find and memorise a Bible verse to answer each of those three troubles with a promise from God
- Have a quiet half hour by myself and relax
Things to Remember:
Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved – Psalm 55:22 NKJV
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. – Isaiah 9:2 KJV
Everything exposed by light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. – Ephesians 5:13 NIV
We do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. – 2 Corinthians 4:16 NKJV
In times of trouble, remember that God is too kind to be cruel, too wise to make a mistake, and too deep to explain himself. – Author unknown
As the heart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me. For I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Her-mon-ites, from the hill Mi-zar.
7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy watersprouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8 Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
9 I will say unto God my rock, why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Jesus Christ was good when he was here on Earth yet it looked like he was satan because he bore the sins of the World. Character is a trait that can be seen on the body by your fellow man. Jesus Christ therefore had inside him the character of the Messiah but on the outside to some people around him he was Beelzebub incarnate. Power is a trait that can only be tested from it’s result. You have a naked power which you can see and you have a subjective power which arranges materials seemingly in the background. Jesus Christ did not display his power to the Kings and Governors yet he was able to call things that were not as though they were this was a subjective power rearranging materials within the material to produce change in the objective state, an instant recovery for people in poor health for instance. He refused to tempt God and display his power to compete and conquer those who were trying to derail the manifestation of his destiny, including himself. Yes he was at war with himself forsaken by his father not as a form of betrayal or foolishness but as a form of necessity and sacrifice to do that which would guarantee victory for the whole human species, in fact for all inhabitants of the World and for God and his creations. Victory over death, victory over the downward spiral into the understanding that daily we can get up and move from one place to another spreading the joy of a resurrected, reformed state of affairs, in which we approach our mission here on Earth as if we were already in Heaven. A possibility of creating our own pocket of heaven and inviting our fellow creations to partake of the possibility that dreams can come true, that the purpose for which we were born can actually be fulfilled and thus we can understand the meaning of this life which we came into not knowing who, what, when or why we would begin a journey in which pleasure and pain reign side by side like the two sides of a coin guilt and sin become a figment of the imagination and the race not for the swift but chance and happenstance occur to them just as the Sun and the rain fall on the guilty and the innocent.
